CRP-Screen - Virus or Bacteria?

CRP-Screen is a rapid, semi-quantitative immunodiagnostic test for measuring CRP protein levels in blood. The result falls within one of 4 concentration ranges between 8–100 mg/L, helping to differentiate the cause of infection (bacterial or viral) and detect infections and inflammatory conditions. CRP is a sensitive indicator that appears quickly during illness, making it useful as a diagnostic tool when deciding on antibiotic therapy.

The test offers the widest measurement range among all home CRP tests, which is crucial for correctly differentiating the cause of infection/illness:
0–8 mg/L
8–40 mg/L
40–100 mg/L
> 100 mg/L

The CRP-Screen test should be performed if clinical symptoms suggesting an infection occur, such as a low-grade fever, fever, cough, runny nose, chills, headache, muscle pain, or general weakness.
