Poly-Check - fecal occult blood test

Poly-Check is a rapid immunodiagnostic test for detecting occult blood in stool when its concentration is higher than 10 ng/mL. The test can be performed without the need for a special diet. Changes in the digestive system are often associated with bleeding into the intestinal lumen. The presence of blood in the stool may be caused by ulcers, hemorrhoids, or colorectal cancer.

The Poly-Check test should be performed if symptoms such as diarrhea, weight loss, abdominal pain, bloating, or changes in bowel habits occur.

The test is also performed as part of colorectal cancer screening.
