Prosta-Check - Prostate Test

Prosta-Check is a rapid immunodiagnostic test for detecting prostate-specific antigen (PSA) in the blood. PSA levels allow for an assessment of the prostate’s physiological condition. A value higher than the normal range (4 ng/mL) indicates prostate enlargement. In cases of prostate problems, early screening allows for the initiation of treatment and improves the chances of recovery.

The Prosta-Check test should be performed at least once a year by men over the age of 50 or those with a family history of prostate problems. The test should be performed if symptoms such as frequent urination, difficulty urinating, or an interrupted urine stream occur.

The test is also performed as part of prostate cancer screening.
