Pylori-Screen - Helicobacter pylori test

Pylori-Screen is a rapid immunodiagnostic test for detecting antibodies against Helicobacter pylori in the blood. Currently, 90% of patients with gastric ulcers are found to have an HP infection. Proper diagnosis allows for the detection of the bacteria, followed by effective antibiotic therapy to completely eliminate the pathogen.

The Pylori-Screen test should be performed when a patient experiences recurring abdominal pain, pain in the stomach area, nausea, indigestion, or acid reflux.

The test is also performed as part of preventive care for stomach diseases.
